Selection and Entry Procedure
The selection process is very strict as a large number of boys apply for the scholarship.
Once applications are received, boys are invited to write a scholarship examination in English and Mathematics.
The parents, having understood and accepted scholarship conditions for entry into Highbury, will be asked to complete an Application form and a Financial Assessment and submit a Financial clearance certificate from their son’s previous school.
The Bursary Committee, made up of the Chairman of the Board, Headmaster, Head of Senior Primary and Business Manager will meet to review the candidate’s application.
Formal interviews will take place at which each of the candidates will be interviewed separately by the Bursary Committee.
Two suitable candidates will be selected and the Headmaster will make contact with the parents of these boys.
Parents of those unsuccessful candidates will be contacted once the two successful candidates are confirmed as having been fully compliant with all normal entry procedures.
The Parents of the successful candidates will pay 50% of the normal acceptance fee in order to secure their son’s place in the school.
