Venue Hire
Key venues on Highbury’s beautiful 11 hectare estate are available for hire for weddings, children’s parties, conferences and events.
Facilities for hire
While Highbury’s facilities are well used by our boys, teachers and parents during the course of the school year, they are available for hire over school holidays, weekends and some evenings. Our sports pavilions are also available for hire during the week for off-site company meetings.

Centenary Hall
This multipurpose hall can hold up to 1000 people and is equipped for all indoor sports and physical education needs. It can be used for conferences and awards nights. Company functions, exhibitions and shows can also be hosted in this venue.

Memorial Hall
This Performing Arts Centre is used daily for all cultural activities, which include drama productions, informal music evenings, and choir and orchestra practices. The stage with blue velvet curtains creates an ideal presentation platform with a ceiling mounted projector (with sound) and drop down screen. Venue can hold 250 people seated cinema style or 80 seated around tables.

The Mike Procter Pavilion
Highbury’s historic cricket pavilion on the beautiful McMillan field was fully renovated and reopened in 2014. It is a versatile venue that is ideally suited to both meetings and parties. The Procter Pavilion can seat up to 25 people boardroom style or 30 people cinema style. The shape of the space makes it very versatile, being cozy enough for meetings as small as 10 people as well. It is equipped with a pull down screen, beautiful old tables and a kitchen and bar that enable social time and meals. As a party venue, the doors can be opened onto the verandah which can also be extended through the use of gazebos or a (not-included) bedoin tent so that people can spill out onto the field. Depending on whether people are seated or cocktail-style, the venue can accommodate 50 to 80 comfortably.

The Leap Pavilion
This upstairs venue was built in 2009 and enjoys beautiful views out over the Harris fields at Highbury. Venue can hold 100 people standing cocktail style due to the large wrap-around covered verandah. 20 people can be seated indoors cinema-style and 15 seated boardroom-style.

The Chapel
The Highbury chapel was built in 1940 and is one of the oldest buildings on the Highbury Estate.
Many weddings are held at our beautiful Chapel which can seat up to 200 people.

The Lecture Theatre
Highbury’s Lecture Theatre is located off our Media Centre foyer. It is a traditional tiered presentation venue that can seat 150 cinema style, either on chairs or on the steps. The Media Centre foyer can be used for teas/coffees before or after a presentation.

Highbury’s Aftercare
Aftercare at Highbury is an ideal weekend party venue for children Grade R and up. It is suitable for approximately 20 children and 40 adults. Tables and chairs are available and there is both a covered outdoor area as well as a large playground.

Weavers’ Nest Aftercare
Weavers’ Nest Aftercare is a newly built, sunny space that opens onto the main Weavers’ Nest playground making it an ideal weekend party venue for younger children.
It is suitable for approximately 15 children and 30 adults, weather permitting. Tables and chairs are available as well as indoor toys and a small kitchen.

The Fields
Highbury has 3 standard fields and 1 extra large field on our 11 hectare estate. Each field is surrounded by beautiful large trees, creating shady areas for seating. Bathroom facilities are available nearby, either at the Tennis courts, Mike Procter Pavilion or Centenary Hall. Two of the fields have outdoor braai facilities built in.
