For generations, the Highbury library has stood at the heart of our school – a place where curiosity is sparked, ideas take shape, and a lifelong love of reading begins. It is here that boys have discovered their favourite stories, developed strong comprehension skills, and learned to think critically about the world around them.
As the way we learn evolves, so too must the spaces that inspire it. Highbury’s library is now ready for a transformation, a modern upgrade that will honour its history while creating an engaging, innovative environment for the next generation of Highbury boys.

The new library design will combine tradition and innovation. It will be a welcoming, flexible learning space that celebrates our school’s heritage while meeting the needs of today’s learners. Every contribution, no matter the size, plays a part in bringing this vision to life.
To acknowledge the generosity of our donors, a Library Legacy Plaque will recognise contributions of R20,000 or more, all donors will also be named in a special commemorative Library Book that will honour the history of the Library and all who have contributed to its growth.
Library Legacy Giving Levels

Legacy Partners – R100,000 and above
- Chapter Donors – R25,000 to R99,999

Friends of the Library – R1,000 to R24,999
All donations, large or small, are deeply valued and contribute directly to the library’s refurbishment. Each donor will receive a Section 18A tax certificate, allowing businesses and individuals to claim a deduction from their taxable income.
